Who is Rosie?

Rosie, our beloved shop cat at the McGill Rose Garden for a little over four years, claimed the rose garden as her own one morning in May of 2012. She quickly became the real boss around here, and no one came or went without a thorough once-over from Rosie. She was sassy and spunky, had a very big attitude, and we miss her dearly.

Unfortunately, she unexpectedly passed away in 2017, but she lives on in our hearts and in the tons of photographs that were taken of her. We talk and laugh about all of her antics still today.

So, we felt it was only fitting to raise a glass to a departed member of our “family” and name our wine and coffee garden after her. So if you knew Rosie, just heard about her, or maybe saw her image on social media, come by and reminisce a little bit. Of course, if you didn’t know Rosie, we still want you to stop by, grab a coffee, a beer, or a glass of wine, and stroll through the garden to see where Rosie used to frolic. (But let’s be serious, she just laid around a lot). Come gather with friends in a really cool spot, relax, and enjoy yourself. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
